Our objective is to train small and medium-sized companies in the effective management of European funds for research, development and innovation (R&D) projects. Content of the European funding sessions

Our training programme is designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge of the financial and administrative management of projects funded by Horizon Europe and other EU programmes. We strive for each participant to acquire crucial competencies to implement in their organisations management methods and procedures that are not only efficient and effective but also allow them to optimise their resources and improve their project execution. Below are all the topics eligible for the tailor-made training programme:

Its main objective is to train the client’s staff in cross-cutting R&D skills and to understand the general concepts of technical and administrative requirements, eligibility, budgets, submission dates, and evaluation criteria of the main European programmes.

Secondary objectives:

  • Understand the main European public funding programmes: ERC grants (Starting, Consolidator, Advanced, Proof of Concept, Synergy), MSCA (Postdoctoral Fellowship, Doctorate Network, Cofund), EIC-Pathfinder/Transition/Accelerator, Horizon Europe Clusters, LIFE, European Partnerships, EUROSTARS.
  • Learn how to design competitive proposals to successfully apply to specific programmes.
  • Understand the basic eligibility and evaluation criteria for projects.

(e.g. MSCA, EIC, ERC, Clusters-Horizon, EIT, LIFE, EUREKA, Partnerships, etc.)

  • Presentations: for the exposition of didactic material, which will be shared at the end of each course.
  • Case studies: depending on the course, a case study based on real work situations will be proposed.
  • Streaming sessions: (Teams platform): courses can be recorded at the client’s request, to reinforce key contents.
  • Tutorial assistance: evaluation of practical cases and resolution of doubts during the training period.
  • To know the different stages of preparing European proposals, such as consortium structuring, partner search, team coordination, meeting organization, time management and decision making.
  • To know the structure of the EC templates (RIA and IA)
    (RIA and IA) of the EC for writing proposals in Horizon Europe, news 2021-2017 and writing “tips” to enhance the visibility of winning proposals.
  • Analyze and break down the different sections of the

  • The new Grant Agreement and negotiation phase with the European Commission
  • Financial aspects of European public funds
  • Technical and economic justification
  • Addenda to the AG
  • Audit of European projects
  • To go through in a practical way the management and justification cycle of a proposal of a proposal approved under the European framework program for research and innovation, Horizon Europe (2021-2027).
  • At the end of the course and depending on their performance, the participants will have the following skills

The European Projects Unit of Euro-Funding has a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified experts with extensive experience in managing European projects. Our trainers, coming from sectors such as private industry, universities, technological centers, and non-profit organizations, bring a diversity of perspectives and a practical approach to the training.

Our trainers represent highly qualified professionals in project management and research across multiple scientific and technical fields. With solid academic backgrounds in Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Neurosciences, Biology, and Political Science, they have earned PhDs and master’s degrees from prestigious universities in Spain and abroad. They possess over 15 years of experience leading and participating in innovative projects in biotechnology, bioenergy, sustainable chemistry, and health, excelling in roles within both the private industry and the public sector.
 

They have worked as project directors and managers in organizations ranging from biotech startups to large corporations and European funding entities, significantly contributing to areas such as antimicrobial drug development, renewable energies, and European R&D&I policies. Currently, they lead efforts in consulting for SMEs, focusing on obtaining European funding and implementing advanced technologies in medical therapies and renewable energies.

As a result of all these capabilities, we share our success rate in obtaining European funding: our team has achieved a 42% approval rate for grants submitted under European Union programs such as HORIZON EUROPE, H2020, and FP7, as well as other programs like LIFE, Eureka Eurostars, Interreg, and others.
